When was the last time Play’n GO released anything extraordinary or really great? In 2026, they went all-in on the collection feature by releasing similar games. Another strategy is to piggyback on previous releases and legacy brands, as with this game.
However, I was immediately pleased to see that Viking Runecraft 1000 isn’t a simple reskin of the previous Viking Runecraft slots, as it’s something else.
The game area is different, and it’s a Scatter Pays slot that focuses on random multipliers.
The free spins take it up a notch, as the multipliers there are cumulative.
Oh, wait a minute… turns out that this isn’t that innovative after all but a pure reskin of Rise of Olympus 1000…
Oh well, apart from that little detail… Viking Runecraft 1000 is a good-looking slot, but the multiplier feature isn’t exciting enough to keep the base game interesting for longer periods, and since Play’n GO don’t share how often free spins trigger on average, your guess is as good as mine.
