About Loner

Nolimit City is not your average slot developer, as they break barriers all the time with releases like Serial, Land of the Free, and Kenneth Must Die.

It’s hard to imagine that any other game studio would have released Loner, as this one is a pure Nolimit City slot.

It’s not vulgar or filled with horror, though, but more like an odd and humorous take on the 1980s era. Well, it has some crazy elements, too, that might surprise you while playing.

The soundtrack resembles one of the radio channels heard in Grand Theft Auto’s video games but notched up a few levels, so be prepared for some unusual announcements.

Loner is also quite straightforward to play, as NLC has skipped the overwhelming features they sometimes implement in their slots.

Loner RTP

There are plenty of entertaining features in Loner, and although they are easy to understand, there are other factors that you should focus on before you start playing.

Nolimit City slots are always released in various payout versions, and most online casinos offer players one of the lower-paying options to increase their profits.

The available RTP versions average a 87.07%, 92.11%, 94.00%, or 96.06% payout.

The higher the RTP, the more chances you will get of winning, on average.

Pick one of the premium online casinos listed here on this page that offers players the 96.06% RTP version to play with the best odds.

Gameplay and features

Loner is a highly volatile slot played on a 5-reel and 3-row game panel. It has 243 ways to win.

Bets are available from 0.20 to 100 per spin.

The base game can trigger several modifiers and even a max win, although rare. However, it’s the bonus games that you want to reach as these offer the most entertainment and big wins.

Main features:

  • Bigger Wilds = Reels 2 can land 2×2 or 3×3 sized wilds.
  • Scatters = The monitor symbols act as the game’s scatters and one or two of these trigger a modifier or a max win.
  • Tick Tick Boom = Three monitors displaying Tick Tick Boom trigger this bonus game where you choose a target to blow up. A win of 5x – 1,000x or even a max win is waiting.
  • Pin The Win = Pin The Win showing on three monitors triggers a retro bonus game where a big win can wait.
  • Shoot Shoot Duck = Shoot Shoot Duck on three monitors trigger a shooting duck bonus game. It starts with 5 shots where different awards are collected.
  • God Mode = Monitors showing M, A, and X letters, which means that you just won the slots max win.

Loner Bonus Buy

There are plenty of bonus buy options available in Loner.

  • xBet (one guaranteed monitor in the base game): 50% extra
  • xBet Double (two guaranteed monitors in the base game): 30x the bet
  • Tick Tick Boom: 75x the bet
  • Pin The Win: 90x the bet
  • Shoot Shoot Duck: 185x the bet
  • Lucky Draw: 127x the bet
  • Lucky Draw Deluxe: 247x the bet
  • God Mode (Nothing or max win): 2,604x the bet

What is special about Loner?

The God Mode bonus buy is special for one and also seen in Nine to Five and Brick Snake 2000. This option is extremely risky, though, as you either win the max win or burn through your bankroll rapidly.

The 1980s-style graphics are also special, and so are the bonus games on offer. I mean, in what other game do you choose which building the van should stop in front of and blow up the building?

What is the maximum win on Loner?

Loners max win is 14,999x, and the max win probability is 1 in 3 million spins.

We expected crazy and got it, but in a surprising way (4 out of 5 stars)

When you fire up a Nolimit City slot titled Loner, you kind of expect… well, absolutely anything to happen.

Loner was surprisingly mainstream while still keeping the NLC vibe. Or, let me rephrase that. It’s mainstream for a Nolimit City slot, but on second thoughts, blowing up churches and buildings isn’t really that normal and something you would experience in other game studios slots.

The bonus games are fun to play, and the slot’s graphics are pleasing, but they are a bit different.

Loner is not what we expected beforehand, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing as the game was fun to play and offers a lot of variety through its different bonus games. And yes, it’s also partly crazy.

Overall verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.

Loner went live on May 21, 2024.
