You can play Kamchatka on a 5×3 board with 243 ways to win instead of using traditional paylines. Wins are awarded when you collect three or more identical symbols in consecutive positions from left to right. As the all Ways to Win mechanism is active, you do not have to worry about following an arbitrary payline for a prize.

The theoretical payout (RTP) for this slot is 96%, which is the current industry average. Most games will usually go above or below, but Endorphina’s release seems to cling tightly to the average.

Gameplay and Pay Table

Most of the icons are animals of one kind or another. But you also have some filler symbols, like J, Q, K, and A. Alongside them, you will be able to find fish, hawks, foxes, and moose.

Credit where credit is due to Endorphina’s artists, they’ve drawn them all quite nicely.

The most valuable icon is the volcano Scatter, which pays 3000x your total stake. Special symbols include the Scatter as mentioned above, the beautiful geyser, and the Wild bear, that can substitute for most icons.

The only symbols the Wild bear cannot replace are the Scatter and geyser symbols.

Kamchatka bonus features

Three or more Scatters in any position will activate 15 free spins. For the duration of this bonus feature, all prizes have a 2x multiplier applied to them. Three or more Scatters award additional extra turns.

When Geyser symbols appear simultaneously on the first and fifth reel, the Geyser bonus is activated. It gives you five picks, during which you can win between 2x to 15x for each pick. Assuming you always pick the best one, your total will be 75x your total stake. If the special feature is triggered while free spins are active, the 2x multiplier does not apply to the Geyser bonus.

If, by some random chance, free spins and the Geyser special feature are won simultaneously, the Geyser bonus takes priority. It is played first, and free spins are played after it.

The gamble feature also makes an appearance. You are given four face-down cards, and one is facing up.

You must pick a card with a higher value than the face-up card.

Guess right, and you double your prize, but guess wrong, and you lose everything. Drawing a Joker means you automatically win. If you’re done gambling your wins, you can back out by pressing the Take Win button.

We had some negative encounters with Endorphina releases before, and the absence of any special features was our main gripe. Fortunately, Kamchatka has sidestepped those issues and have created multiple engaging bonuses for players to enjoy.

Visually, the slot would probably lie somewhere slightly above average. It cannot compare to the high production values of some developers. But given the size of its studio, this game looks great. We can only hope to see improvements later down the line.

However, the absence of any volatility information still rubs us the wrong way.

Still, the maximum jackpot is incredible, and you have ways to win instead of boring old paylines. It could be better, but it could also be a lot worse. Kamchatka is just an average slot, and that’s the rating we’ve decided for it, too.
