Castle Builder II is a sequel to the revolutionary slot game Castle Builder that was released in 2014. This one, released three years later, features improved graphics and additional features.

Castle Builder 2, just like the original, takes the most important element from all modern MMOGs, progressive castle building, and combines it with a 15-payline slot game. The game was developed by Rabcat and released by Microgaming.

The theoretical return to player (RTP) of Castle Builder II is 96.63%, a slight improvement on the original title which had 96.47%. Variance is medium to high and you constantly need to make good choices after the castle is completed in order to make money in this slot game.

Gameplay and Pay Table

You’ll choose among three different characters to play. Sam is a building expert and will build castles the quickest. Mandy is less skilled but gives you the Free Charm Feature, and Igor is the worst builder but his true source of income comes from the Wild Horde Feature. You will have to play with each character at some point, as each has access to his/her own worlds to build in. By completing castles you’ll gain experience, will climb up the job ladder, and will get progressively better prizes.

Wood, Bricks, Granite, and Iron Ore are the four building materials, and there are five more paying symbols, plus a Wild. The paytable is skinny most of the time, but it can produce mega wins when you land five-of-a-kind of a high-paying symbol.

Bonus Features

Every time you land a win that involves a building material symbol, you’ll get more material for building your castle. Depending on the character, you’ll need more or less material to complete the castle. When you build a castle you’ll be given three choices, and each will hide a different cash prize. There are also hidden secrets and challenges you need to face in order to increase your chances of winning.

One thing that will help you complete castles is the free spins feature, where you get 10 free spins when you land three or more Scatters on your reels.

These are just spins that are free, with nothing extra added, but in this game, they’re worth a lot as they may end up completing the castle for you free of charge.

It’s a very fun slot to play, you’ll be playing it in long playing sessions as you make your way through the vast game world, and will probably win some money in the process. Excellent game.
